Recently, I had the great pleasure to sit down and have a wonderful conversation with Becky Eldredge, Ignatian-trained spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and author of two books: The Inner Chapel (Loyola Press, April 2020) and Busy Lives & Restless Souls (Loyola Press, 2017). Becky leads a ministry that offers spiritual direction, resources, and retreats (virtual and in-person) rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. Susan Pieper and I first met in 2013 through the Catholic Spiritual Mentorship Program that is run by the Holy Family School of Faith of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas under the auspices of Archbishop Joseph Naumann. Over the last seven years, I have had the privilege of walking the journey towards holiness alongside Susan in both prayer and spiritual friendship. Roberta is the author of the book, Embracing Your Wicked Good, God Awe-Full Life, now available as a Kindle book, and will available on Amazon in paperback and hardback on November 19th. Roberta describes herself as a bit of a Renaissance woman as her […]
My husband woke up not feeling well with a pounding headache, low fever, and tiredness and simply thought he had a sinus infection. Two days later, I felt like I had a sore throat coming on and then woke up feeling like I had gotten run over by a bus. We went to the doctor to be tested, and then received the results that no one wants to hear right now—we were COVID positive. And so, our six-week journey of enduring COVID-19 began. And I say endure, because enduring truly was our experience. For me, I ran a low-grade fever […]

Divino Nino, pray for us! From Stephanie: Dear Friends, I have hopeful news today. Dan’s tubes were removed this morning and he has been breathing on his own. His oxygen levels are good and his fever is receding, only coming at night now. The nurse feels that if he continues like this, they will be moving him out of ICU later today or tomorrow. He has a long way to […]
