We are in the Fifth Week of the Easter Season, and during the last several weeks, the liturgical readings have revolved around the Gospel of John, Chapter 6. This chapter depicts many of Jesus’ miraculous signs that point to and give witness to His divine nature, and also shares the first of seven ”I AM” statements found in this Gospel. Watch here: Why Do You NEED To Receive The Eucharist? Additionally, it is within John Chapter 6 that Jesus gives what is known as the “Bread of Life” discourse where He explains that He is the the Bread come down […]

However, for those of you who have decided, or are unable to join me each day this month, here is a podcast episode for to help you continue to live out the fullness of this Easter Season. Third Week of the Easter Season is now upon us. We have celebrated both the Easter Octave and Divine Mercy Sunday. And this last Sunday, we heard the account of of Jesus’ Resurrection appearance to the Apostles in the Upper Room. The joy and peace of the season just continues to expand and grow, doesn’t it? This reality actually brings up a couple of questions–how might I share this great mystery with others? How can I share the peace and joy of the Resurrection with my loved ones and with those around me? So, this week we focus upon how […]
Holy Week is finally upon us! And with Holy Week comes the great challenge of living the great Triduum–Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, Easter–in the midst of a world that continues to move along as if there is nothing special about these days. Work deadlines still occur, school and sports activities continue to happen, family responsibilities are ongoing, etc., etc. etc. Bottom line, the world doesn’t stop because it’s Holy Week. But this week should look different if we are followers of Christ. Our very lives should be proclaiming the reality of what we profess–that Jesus is our […]

On this day in which we remember the heroic and inspiring story of Saint Patrick and his efforts to bring about the conversion of the land of Eire (Ireland) to Christianity, it seems particularly appropriate to share one of my most recent podcasts conversations–this one with Philip Kosloski, founder of Voyage Comics and Publishing. During our conversation, Phil shared a bit of his own story–of graduating from the University of Saint Thomas in Minnesota with a Bachelor’s in Philosophy and Catholic Studies and then going on to complete his Master of Arts degree in Theology with the Augustine Institute in […]
Happy Third Sunday of Lent! We are now beginning to move into the heart of Lent, and I honestly can’t think of a better person to help us be about doing what’s necessary to allow the season to transform us than this week’s podcast guest, Dow Tippett. Dow and I connected through the recent Say Yes to Holiness Winter Summit, and we followed up the wonderful Summit panel discussion with this illuminating and enlightening conversation on the Say Yes to Holiness podcast. Dow has an unique ability to communicate deep truths in conversational, easy to understand language and practical tools, […]
Greetings! Since we are in the midst of Lent, it’s probably appropriate to confess that I am WAY behind on getting out my latest 1 on 1 podcast interviews, but today begins my seeking to rectify that by sharing each of these wonderful interviews with you. The first conversation I have to share is one I had with Brian Caley of The Behold Project. Brian began The Behold Project as a way to help reduce the stigma of mental health issues and to raise awareness for Christians about those issues while seeking to create a space for those struggling with […]
