Good morning! I pray that this finds you and yours doing well in the midst of the continuing pandemic. This week’s addition to the Connections Between Faith and Daily Life YouTube series focuses upon how transformative cheerfulness can be in the world around us. This question was a part of the Say Yes to Holiness Winter Summit last week, so I went a bit deeper here into how cheerfulness might be the actual vaccine we need in the midst of the continuing COVID 19 pandemic. Enjoy watching, “Is Cheerfulness The REAL Vaccine We Need For The COVID 19 Pandemic?” This […]
Emily K Whiting and first crossed paths in the midst of the God is Mercy conference held in SmartCatholics. As I learned Emily’s story, I discovered we as many things in common, and I knew that I needed to have her on to the Say Yes to Holiness podcast. Emily is a born and raised Catholic but it wasn’t until college that she grew to know Jesus on a deeply personal level. She has a bachelor of science degree in agriculture communications and minors in animal science and psychology, but she eventually transitioned into a marketing and journalism career. Emily […]

On this 12th day of Christmas, my gift to you are an assortment of resources, videos, blog posts, podcasts, and social media community links from the Say Yes to Holiness ministry. My hope is that they can help us be mindful of, and be entry points to dive deeper into understanding the twelve points of belief in the Apostles Creed–which the 12 drummers drumming represent in the Twelve Days of Christmas song. Those twelve points of belief in the Apostle’s Creed are: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord Who was […]
On this 11th day of Christmas, my gift to you echoes the Eleven Pipers Piping who are representative in the Twelve Days of Christmas song of the faithful eleven Apostles. Two groups of “missionaries” who have been faithfully sharing the Good News of the Gospel of the reality of God’s love and mercy are the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception (MIC) and the Missionaries of the Company of Mary (SMM). So, today, on this 11th Day of Christmas, my 11 gifts to you are from my own ministry as well as from the fruitful ministry of both the priests […]
On this 10th day of Christmas, my gift to you revolves around the Ten Lords a Leaping–who in the Twelve Days of Christmas song are representative of the Ten Commandments. In addition, I also have had the privilege of praying and working alongside members of a women’s religious community that is very near and dear to my heart–the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word (SSeW) who are located at Casa Maria Convent and Retreat House in Irondale, Alabama. The Sister Servants of the Eternal Word is a public association of the faithful founded by Mother Mary Gabriel Long in 1987. […]
On this 9th day of Christmas, which also happens to be a First Saturday, the gifts I have for you are inspired by both our Lady, Mary, Mother of God, and the Nine Ladies Dancing–who in the Twelve Days of Christmas song are representative of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. So, my 9 gifts to you are: Say Yes to Holiness blog post about Blythe Kaufman and her new book, Child Consecration to Jesus Through Mary 2. Interview with Blythe Kaufman, Founder of the Children’s Rosary Movement Say Yes to Holiness YouTube Video 3. The Children’s Rosary Movement’s PDF […]
On this 8th day of Christmas, we also celebrate the Feast of Mary, Mother of God. The 8th day is also when the Church remembers the circumcision and naming of Jesus, which as faithful Jews, Joseph and Mary would have been extremely attentive to celebrating in order to ensure that Jesus would be a part of God’s Chosen People. Very appropriate indeed, as the eight maids a milking from the twelve days of Christmas song are a reference to the 8 Beatitudes, which of course Jesus gave us during His preaching ministry as the ultimate model of what the fullness […]
On this 7th day of Christmas, which is also New Year’s Eve, my gift to each of you within the Say Yes to Holiness Community is a list of resources and tools from myself and others to help you gain awareness of changes you may need to make within your own life and/or within your parish community. Why these particular resources? Because we are on the cusp of another calendar year, and just like at the beginning of Lent, or even Advent, we have a cultural environment that is open for change to occur. It is a prime opportunity for […]
