We are now two weeks into Lent, and it might seem like it’s already been forever. You know what I mean? But what I often tell people that instead of hesitating, we just need to double down and go even deeper. So this episode focuses upon Food for the Head, Heart, Hands and Feet to help you go ever deeper into the desert that is Lent so you can grow closer to God and become more like Jesus as you strive towards holiness. You check out the entire episode here: Episode 52–“”Going Ever Deeper Into the Desert That Is Lent” […]

On this 12th day of Christmas, my gift to you are an assortment of resources, videos, blog posts, podcasts, and social media community links from the Say Yes to Holiness ministry. My hope is that they can help us be mindful of, and be entry points to dive deeper into understanding the twelve points of belief in the Apostles Creed–which the 12 drummers drumming represent in the Twelve Days of Christmas song. Those twelve points of belief in the Apostle’s Creed are: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord Who was […]
Monica McConkey and I have been crossing paths for the last five years–even though we weren’t aware of it until about a year ago! But God finally gave us occasion to connect, and the result has been a great joy as we have each discovered many common interests–both of us are wives, moms and authors, and we also each have the desire to serve God as best we can in the vineyard. For Monica, in addition to being wife and mom of 5 kids, she is also a designer, an architecture school survivor, and a crafter. She and her husband […]
Earlier this summer, I was able to connect with Daniel McCormick, another Say Yes to Holiness Summit panelist from this spring’s Say Yes to Holiness Tranformation Online Summit. Daniel is the Director of the Office of Religious Education for the Diocese of Birmingham, and am privileged to also call him friend and brother in Christ. Daniel is a happy husband, a father of 3, and a catechist who is currently working for the diocese. He previosuly has served as a Catholic school teacher, parish director of religious education, and done sacramental preparation for children, youth and adults. He is commited […]
It’s been a long time coming, but my book, Say Yes: Discovering Purpose, Peace and Abundance in Daily Life was just released as a Kindle book today on Amazon! Happy Feast of Or Lady of Carmel! Just so you are aware, the Kindle version is advertised as a “Bilingual English and Spanish edition” and “Spanish edition”. All this means is that the Kindle book (and eventually the print copy) will automatically include the Spanish version as well as the English version. Amazon has no way to advertise a blingual book, so they had to create the category for me! But […]
One of the panelists who participated in this spring’s Say Yes to Holiness Tranformation Online Summit was Dianne Davis. Dianne is Director of Mission Expansion for ChristLife. In this special episode of the Say Yes to Holiness podcast, Christina and Dianne continue the conversation begun during the Say Yes Summit as they discuss Dianne’s work as part of the ChristLife team that is working to help people have an encounter with Christ, and then accompany them as they learn how to deepen that encounter and eventually share it with others. ChristLife’s story began with Dave Nodar, a Catholic layman, who […]
One positive of still recovering from COVID was the opportunity to watch the Broadway play, now turned movie, Hamilton: An American Musical, at two different points over the holiday weekend. I first had the privilege two summers ago in Atlanta when the Broadway show went on the road, and just like when I experienced it live, the movie of the taped musical was just as powerful. For those of you who might have missed all the theatrical hubbub over the last four years, Hamilton tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. Wikipedia adds that the play was inspired by the […]

Just wanted to pass on two PHENOMENAL opportunities for your consideration in case you live ANYWHERE in/around the Atlanta area. Dr Mike Scherschligt (whose daily rosary meditation podcast I HIGHLY recommend), and Dr Troy Hinkle of the Holy Family School of Faith located in the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas are the main speakers for both a women’s retreat day and a men’s morning of recollection. Both opportunities are happening at Holy Trinity Catholic Church the weekend of February 8th and 9th. Saturday, February 8th is a retreat day for women, and there is both an English and Spanish track. […]
So as most of us do, I was reflecting upon what New Year’s resolutions I should make. I went through the usual personal health and fitness goals and then listed my goals associated with my upcoming book launch later this year, creating another online course, and then having a Live Event (or two) later this year. But then it struck me. My whole reason for doing anything in my Say Yes ministry is in order to help others grow closer to God so they can embrace the life God created them for—a life of purpose, peace and abundance. So I […]
